The top two Colts teams scored big wins with third-placed Denmark-Walpole having the bye in Round 13 of the GSFL Colts competition.

On Sunday at Retravision Stadium, home team Albany smashed North Albany, keeping them scoreless in three quarters as they ran out dominant winners 20.9 (129) to 1.1 (7).

Vice-captain Tobyn Lowry was impressive all day, booting a massive nine goals to say to former AFL player and Sharks League vice-captain Brett Peake, follow my lead (Peake later kicked nine that day).

Ned Shepherd chipped in with four majors as those two players, along with Harvey Taylor and Louis Cosh, were Albany’s best players.

The Kangas had Matthew Sivwright, Blake Tysoe and Liam Morgan trying hard all day in a losing cause.

The previous day, Royals got off to a big start against Railways at Tigerland, and kept the pressure on in the second half to score a convincing 11.4 (70) to 3.6 (24) victory.

Rory Luscombe was having a field day, winning plenty of the ball and kicking eight goals, with Harrison Smith, Mitchell Paine and Jack Carlson playing well for the ladder leaders.

Railways were best served by Caleb Haua, having quite the day, later being best player for their league side, Trent Herbert and Marshall O’Meara.
